Shri. Jatin Kumar

Shri. Jatin Kumar
M.Tech, B.E.
Managing Director of R V Institute of Technology, Bijnor (Affiliated to DR APJ AKTU Lucknow, Approved by AICTE & MHRD).

Mr. Jatin Kumar always had the knack for humanitarian services. Being a son of a farmer, the life has molded him into a level-headed and down-to-earth man.

His down-to-earth and empathic nature led him to work for the enlivenment of the destitute community. His aim is to improve the quality of living of every common man and reaching out to the people in need.

Students in his hometown, Bijnor, had to leave their homes to pursue studies that too with a ridiculously high fee for their college education. Moreover, it was a setback for girls to seek higher education.

So, after finishing his masters (M. Tech, computer science), he was determined to bring quality technical education in the field of engineering in his hometown. This led to the inception of R.V. Institute of Technology, Bijnor, in 2009, to provide best in class B. Tech, Polytechnic, Pharmacy education to economically challenged rural students, especially girl child.

R.V.I.T was the first college to introduce a unique model of “Holistic Education”, where value education and rural development were declared compulsory in the college curriculum. This prestigious institute also developed a combined program for nearby villages and schools, for improving the quality of education in these areas.

This program turned out to be a great success. On July 21st, 2015, Dr. Abdul Kalam paid a visit to this campus and was highly impressed with the idea of this curriculum. Dr. Kalam’s benign visit was followed by the conspicuous visit of Shri Ram Naik (Governor), Shri Satpal Singh (MoS, MHRD), Shri Anna Hazare and Vice Chancellors of the UPT University and AICTE and recommended this institute for Central Government Unnat Bharat Abhiyan.

After the impeccable success of his academic mission, he initiated “’Pi-Lo” as a mission to provide pure R.O. drinking water to all and make our environment plastic free.

It all started with the test installation of a single machine at Botanical Garden Metro Station, Noida in June 2015 for six months.

This project gains popularity and appreciation from metro passengers, especially for the weaker sections of the area who now has the access to pure and safe drinking water. Now, what started as a test project has turned into a massive mission, now the machine is installed in the most crowded metro stations, hospitals, temples, monuments and so on.

He is obligated to “Pledge for Plastic Free India” , against the use of pet plastic bottles and stays true to it.
