Water Wastage

As a country of over a billion people, we only receive 4% of the freshwater available globally. Yet we don't understand its real worth. We face water shortages not because there is too little water, but also because we manage it poorly and waste a lot every day. 50% of the freshwater is wasted as a result of leakages and poor management systems. We only utilise 35% of the rainwater that we receive on annual basis. More than 65% gets wasted because of no storage facilities. New Delhi, the capital of India, wastes 26% of water that it receives.
